Good practice for (digital) social innovation

Join our Data & Digitization panel at the Partos Innovation Festival 2018

What kind of competences does your organization need to really be an innovative actor that can profit from the digital & technological opportunities? How do you combine thoughtfulness with your enthusiasm for innovation? On October 11th we will be facilitating and joining the Data & Digitization panel at the Partos Innovation Festival.

Linda Raftree (MERL Tech) will give a lecture on how to identify wishful thinking in innovation and transform it into good practice. She will highlight  the challenges she has identified around introducing new technology and innovation in her work as consultant/ researcher.

After this we will be raising critical questions in the panel discussion about the meaning of innovation and discuss key areas that need consideration in order to innovate in ways that do no harm to those we intend to serve. What do we mean by innovation? And what trends have we seen in innovation in the international development sector over the past ten years?  What should we be thinking about when incorporating digital technology into development programming and impact measurement? Technology can work to include but also work to exclude those that we intend to empower if we do not carefully consider the introduction of the technology.
